My father was transferred to SW Regional after a CVA that left him comatose. He was paralyzed from the neck down from a prior accident. He had been tube fed via a PEG tube directly to his stomach for the last 2 months of his life. He coded at SW regional and when paramedics came, they pulled MEAT CHUNKS and a SPONGE from his airway. Someone shoved meat and a sponge down my fathers throat at this facility when he was not to have anything in his mouth- something obvious to any idiot that saw him. This facility MURDERED my father. Now, they refuse to give me his medical records, despite my doing everything that Texas State Law and HIPPA requires.
I really hope that anyone who reads this will strongly consider what may happen if you admit your loved one. We are heartbroken over this whole ordeal and I hate to think of something like this happening to anyone else.
