I am from Mexico, there is nothing authentic about their food. Just call it Tex-Mex, there is nothing wrong with that. I give it 2 stars because their service was great. Food was not great, I ordered the Fajita Enchiladas. It was two tortillas wet on hot oil with cheese inside topped with pieces of stake and no extra tortillas to eat it. Wait time to get seated was a good 30 min at 6:15pm on a Friday. Wait time to get food was reasonable. Place was very loud and crowded. I rather go across the street next time.
I love this restaurant. It is the best Mexican food this side of the border. Pure perfection. I have eaten at Mexican food restaurants all over the US. This is the best by far. The service is flawless; prompt, friendly, and they allow patrons to eat at their own pace. I hope they continue to expand their locations.
The staff are friendly and we've never had to wait too long for our food. Your wait time may vary if you're dining with a large group, though.
The Plaza has become our new favorite Mexican restaurant in Lubbock!
Service was awesome. Food came out right and fast for lunch. I prefer authentic Mexican food, hence the lack of the fifth star, but this place is good for anyone. Our server was Taylor G. and she rocked!
The dining room can be so loud during their peak times that it's difficult to hold a conversation with the person next to you, so if you want to be able to hear those you're dining with I suggest going mid-afternoon.
Pretty quick service since it was a Friday evening. Service in bar and restaurant was efficient and friendly. Food was excellent.
Excellent food!!! Great flavor and variety. The portions are quite large so leftovers are a plus. I recommend the queso and the fajita enchiladas. Spicy options for those who like it, but milder options for those who are wusses like me. :)
