Great value for good bbq. The brisket was really good with a nice bark. The green chili sausage and green chili mac and cheese were both excellent. Would highly recommend for good food at a fair price.
Really friendly staff, and prices were decent, and I felt I got well worth my money after finishing it. As far the the quality of their product? The Turkey was nicely done, as was the Sausage well. The real kicker for me was the Beans, BBQ sauce, and Brisket. The beans had shredded pork (or pulled pork) in which gave them a little smoky flavor. The BBQ sauce was almost perfect with spice, and sweet, but not hot our sour like some. The brisket was the absolute best brisket I have ever received at a restaurant Hands Down.
My husband had a chopped beef sandwich and beer battered onion rings. Portions were huge and he finished off every bite. I had their bbq Frito pie with chopped beef and potato salad on the side. We could both have easily split either of our servings. The potato salad was mayo and sour cream based and very creamy. The Frito pie came in a huge dish and had melted cheese all over it. I couldn't finish it by a long shot. The waitress was efficient and gave us some great recommendations, and the owner chatted with us quite a bit, too. We are happy we stopped in and will be back the next time we are in Lubbock!
This is a great find for BBQ! Small joint with delicious brisket. The kids had chicken fingers, grilled cheese sandwich and a cheeseburger, all of which were quite tasty as well. My Wife had the brisket wrap and we both found it hard to put down. Shawn is doing a great job, and he has a friendly/hospitable staff on hand. We can't wait for our return visit!
Had the place to ourselves due to construction on the main road, so the wait wasn't long at all, which is always a plus. I hope they typically have a lot of business because the food was very good and the service was excellent.
The staff was very nice and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the BBQ brisket quesadilla, he meat had a good smoky flavor.
