Love this place!! Amazing shrimp fried rice! Superb yellow curry! Only drag is they close up a lot whenever they want. But o well they make some of the best Thai food in town so they can do whatever they want!
The food is incredible. The servers do a good job and work hard but cannot keep up with all the tables, so it's not uncommon to sit down and have to wait 15 minutes to even have your drink order taken. I am perplexed by the inefficiency of how this restaurant is operated. There is a single checkout register which usually has a line out the door. This is the line you have to wait in to pay for to go orders, place to go orders (since they take the phone off the hook when they are busy), and pay when you are finished with your meal (since servers don't check you out when finished). So this is typically what you can expect when eating at Thai Pepper:
1 hour 10 minutes total. And this is if you don't have to wait for a table when you arrive. I cannot count the times I have thought "Thai Pepper sounds great but I only have an hour for lunch." They could save their customers 20-25 minutes on each visit if they would hire 1 more wait staff, open one more register, and have servers cash out their tables instead of making them go to the back of the line to pay.

Superb Thai. Tom Ka was richly seasoned and simply delicious. Pad Thai was equally good. Hint: if you like it HOT like I do, ask for "Thai Hot", they will amp it up if asked. I will next time for sure. Sont go there until after 1:30PM or so, it's crazy crowded before that. Recommend!

They don't really adjust their services to what the customer really wants. When my friend and I did not like our meal after one bite, we tried to ask to switch it out or for an adjustment and manager refused saying that it wasn't their fault and that we would have to pay anyway. The food portions are small and for noodles, rice, and other dishes that include shrimp and chicken they always give less than 5 pieces of each. In one of my friend's plate's they gave her one shrimp. They refused to add more or make adjustments. The "stick of shrimp" isn't really a stick of shrimp it's two pieces of shrimp attached to one end of the stick. They make sure to give small portions and pleasing the customer is not the priority, but getting their money definitely is. The customer service was friendly however, but that was about it. Definitely not worth their prices.
Came here twice during a month stay in Lubbock. The fried tofu appetizer was good. I got the spicy pad thai twice, and both times the noodles were overcooked, but wasn't enough for me too complain too much but enough to only do a 4 star rating. The serving size was good. Not bad place to check out, although it gets really busy..
