Has been around for a long time.
We went to eat after church a little after 1 pm, the place had several patrons but it wasn't busy. Several others walked in after we had given our order and we all waited a long time to get our orders. It took about 15 to 20 minutes for our food. I ordered the special of a large bbq sandwich with a side of what they called baked beans, which they were not baked beans they were simply pinto beans, so that disappointed me, including a drink and my husband ordered 3 meat plate with 2 side and he got a drink. I did not like the way they over prepped the bun with to much "butter" in order to brown the bun. My husband was happy with all his food. The server we had was friendly and did her best for us. There was another server working the floor that we both noticed , unfortunately she seemed to have a bad attitude all around, and it ruined the whole atmosphere for me and my husband. 9/10/2017
My husband and I came in on a Monday when there was initially only one other customer. Took our drink order and that's where things became awful. The server used her hand to drain the water from my cup of ice back into the ice bin. I could only imagine how often she's done this - washing her hands into the ice. Later saw her give another table water from the same bin. She then left our drinks on the side and came to our table to take our order. It took about 5 minutes for her to go back for the drinks. Spent 1/2 an hour waiting for our food. The server spent most of that arguing with the kitchen about what was supposed to be on the plate. By the time the food made it to the table the food was cold. It took another 5 minutes to get that taken care of. The pulled pork was questionable at best. It was mostly fat rind and resembled mystery meat. Brisket was not smokey even though the whole restraunt was filled with smoke. At least until they propped the door open to let the smoke out and the bugs in. Never checked if we needed drink refills (though I guess I should be thankful for that). To top it off when we went to the register to pay, the server could not make change. We just let it go and left. We won't be going back and don't recommend anyone give J&M a chance until they figure their business out or the health department takes a good look at them.
Great place to eat!!! Wednesday's kids eat free with adult purchase, helps us out and totally worth it!! The kids as well love the food here, mac-n-cheese is delicious!!! Brisket is the Best!!

If anyone remembers Underwood's back in the day .....
The pulled pork was very, very Dry no kind of taste or seasoning and very small portion.. The macaroni tasted weird.. It was waxy. If that is even a word. The only tasty side was the potato salad. For 12 bucks a plate I sure did expect more! Will just stick to Rudys !
