New hotel with modern decor. Thin walls, tried to use air to mask neighbors noise. Unfortunately, had malfunctioning air unit, found out at 10 pm, it turned on but makes horrible sucking sounds, made for horrible sleep, bed was rock hard, pillows too soft and when you can't sleep due to your noisy piece of junk air it's hard not to use bathroom, because a genius put a glass panel on the bathroom door, to wake your family up when they finally get to sleep. No towels in pool area even though hotel was empty. Staff was nice at check in but from that point, they made excuses, were rude condescending and basically told us we made all this stuff up.
It was a nice, decently appointed room. Everything was clean. I did miss having a tub to soak in. Also, just after I checked in and got settled in my room, another person walked into the room. He had been given the same room assignment as me, then the next time I used my keycard, it didn't work, so I had to go back to the front desk and get it re-keyed.
New and modern hotel. Nothing fancy but no complaints here. It was just what we needed while passing through town. Super clean and a nice free breakfast. Store with sundries. Quiet.
We have stayed here on 2 occasions. The first was excellent and this is located in a great central location for us. The second time, however did me in. I had 2 rooms reserved, we were in town to play golf. I called and asked about checking in early to leave our stuff in the room so we didn't have to leave it in the hot car. I was informed it would be a $10 an hour charge before 3:00. I was curious if they were planning on renting the room before our arrival or if they were concerned about us using electricity or water .. really? THEN I asked the clerk on duty if it would be possible to extend our stay by one night and his response .. "I don't know I'll have to check with my people and get back to you". He never 'got back' to me so we checked out the next morning. We moved to the Best Western on the other side of the frontage road which was VERY nice and $10 cheaper with no concern for me overusing the 'facilities'. We will stay at the Best Western from now on which is a bi-weekly trip for us!!
Really enjoyed our stay there, rooms were really nice and clean. Hotel overall smelled new, breakfast was good for continental breakfast. We will definitely stay there again L.
