The hotel it's self was nice and quiet. There was a very spacious lobby with a secluded pool surrounded by vegetation that was heated. The rooms themselves we're large with nice linens. We have plenty of space to move around and the kids to play. It was located close to a lot of fast-food and a Walmart which made it easy to get things we needed. For breakfast they provide a buffet of items with many options to meet very dietary need. The staff was friendly and the service was great.
Not a bad place. Nice layout and comfortable rooms. Our stay was very quiet with little or no noise. Good beds. I'd give more stars if only a little attention to detail was made in cleaning. It only takes a few more minutes a day to vacuum ALL the room carpet and clean two light switch covers.
We had a running toilet that the staff tried to fix immediately. Unfortunately it still had a slow leak after that they never came back to fix. Plumbing issues were everywhere I looked from very slow drains, caved in floor drains, rusted fixtures, and pipes.
Seats for the convention were uncomfortable with little cousion. Lobby had no water, coffee, or coco like I've seen in other locations of this chain.
We arrived and check in went smooth. The room was decent, but the walls and ceiling were extremely dirty and the room had a musty smell. We changed clothes and went to a family function. We arrived back at around 1am and bugs were actually crawling on the walls, furniture, bed and floors. My husband killed 7 bugs in the bathroom and sat down on the chair to take off his shoes, he noticed a couple of insects crawling up the side of the bed and smashed them. We had enough when one dropped from the ceiling on his face and began to crawl across his glasses. I contact the front desk and asked if this room had an insect problem, she responded, "How would I know that, only housekeeping would have that information." They offered to move us. We had to go through all of our clothes and found multiple bugs in our suitcases. After thoroughly going through our luggage, we packed up the car and drove to the front desk. We unpacked and was greeted by an unpleasant individual. She said since we booked on Hotwire the best she could do is provide us with another room and next time book directly with Clarion, THIS will NEVER happen. We had to pack the suitcases back in the car and drive to the far end of the property, drag out suitcases up stairs, there is only one elevator in the front. The next room was better, no bugs, but not very clean at all. Beware of the bugs and the rude staff at this Clarion!
A nice place for the money. There were repairs being done while we were there. While kind of an eye sore it's very nice to see a place making improvements. The room size was great. Bathrooms are ok, could use some updates. Breakfast was great with a hot buffet, more than just the Texas waffles. All in all this was leaps and bounds better than the last two places we've stayed in Lubbock.
I have stayed here several times and each time my experience has been outstanding. This hotel stands out due to its unique interior that has a newly remodeled pool which is surrounded by plant life, sauna and bar area. The staff are curtious, polite and accommodating. The rooms are always clean. I highly recommend this establishment.
