Ice machine out of order. Drawer missing from desk. No cover on back of tv remote. Chair has a tear with padding showing. Light doesn't work. Outlets are cracked. Toilet paper dispenser was broke. Why would you book that room? They do take dogs, however, the other 5 places we stayed also took dogs and still managed to be nice. I was afraid to touch anything in this place. Save your pennies and keep driving. On plus side, air conditioning works great.

EDIT - Oh! I forgot the coup de grace! On my way to the room, I walked by not one, but TWO rooms with their blinds wide open and clearly no one inside. The size of the beds? KING SIZE!!!

The stay here was excellent and very much like a great time with great service for our weekend and week here in Lubbock. Thank you for complimentary night due to the a.c.and the management, and employees at the days inn on university and Marsha sharp in Lubbock Texas. I am very grateful for your time and effort to make sure that our stay was reply as comfortable and affordable with y'all. Thanks again and we appreciate it very much...

And that was just the check-in process.

I stayed at this motel October 19 - 22nd with my niece and nephew when a family member was in UMC. Do not be fooled by the pretty pictures on line. This motel is a wreck. The best things were the beds and pillows. The carpet was filthy and torn, the A/C system was broken, the bathtub backed up when I showered that first morning, the towels were thin, worn, and only one per person. Management did fix the bath tub drain that day. The free breakfast was o.k. and the attendant very nice, but if my niece and nephew had not been with me I would have left immediately and taken the penalty for the cancellation!

I will NEVER go back to this hotel and I probably will never stay at another Days Inn for as long as I live.

Ridiculous.

Most people expect "to get" or "not get" for what you paid for. I do not! I do not care if you paid 8.88 a night or 158.00 a night! Motels, hotels, suites or inns, these are businesses that depend upon costumer service... period! I have encountered a Wyndom that was ($250) so far in need of a remodel, staff included, that I almost asked for a refund. Why not you ask, because I was not the one who paid for it. I have also stayed in one of the lowest rated hotels in a popular Texas town where the staff had went out of their way to make my wife and I feel like we were in a 5

What a disappointment. Absolutely one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had. I checked in on 10/28. I reserved the room weeks ago and I asked for a King Size bed, non-smoking. I was told that there were no King Size rooms available because they had already been given out. I was told that the only room they had available was a double, Standard beds. Ridiculous. When I reserved the room, there was a price difference, so I told them I needed that difference if I was going to stay in a room with Standard rooms. I was told that they could not give me the difference because I had booked through a 3rd party. They absolutely refused to budge and pretty much told me to take it or leave it. I had the girl get the manager on the phone and the manager told me that either I'd have to take the room they offered or I can cancel and they'd waive the fees. And then she told me that I would have to cancel through the 3rd party and ask them for the refund. My night was already a hassle and I didn't want to deal with having to get another hotel at the late hour and then have to call Expedia and ask them for a refund, possibly not get it for some reason. Ridiculous.

Stairs up were rusted. The top step was half missing, but at least someone took the initiative to put a cone there. The walkway to the room was slick and the cross-slope would never pass an ADA inspection (seriously, if there was ice on there, I'd be afraid of slipping off the 3rd floor). When I got to my room (305), the key worked, but I couldn't get the door to open. I literally had to put all my weight into the door to get it to open because the latch kept catching. Walk in, ready to turn on the Tech football game, and the TV is straight out of 1980. I had not used a tube-tv in 15 years. The room was clean, so kudos to the cleaning staff for getting that part right... I imagine the cleaning crew has to do the best it can with what little resources they are given. The beds were very small, not enough for two people when one of them insists on sleeping in the middle (why I wanted a KING!!!), so after an hour of hanging on the edge, I had to go sleep on the other bed. Room was VERY noisy at night and I could hear any car accelerating on the access road. I did not get a very good night of rest. In the morning, I got the orange juice and it was very watered down. When I go to check out, I try to talk to the person working at the desk, but he disappeared to the back somewhere. So I just set my room key down and left. I'd had more than enough.
