I'd definitely stay here again.
Had an amazing stay till check out manager showed up as we where leaving started yelling about smoking outside said we where to close to the building manager is very rude yelled at myself and my wife. I would highly recommend another facility
Very clean and modern. Has security cameras on the parking lot which provides a sense of comfort. Pool is small and warm though there is no hot tub. Rooms had microwaves and refrigerators. Although we made reservation well in advance they were unable to provide adjoining rooms. Better than average breakfasts for a hotel of its caliber including waffles shaped like Texas. Order-in food from a 3rd party vendor ends at 8pm. Right on the highway.
There are lots of motel/hotel choices in Lubbock. This one happened to be very easy to access from the highway going south and out of town. The receptionist was very pleasant and offered advice on a few places to eat dinner near the motel. A good start in my book. The rooms were nice as we settled in. We ate dinner at one of her suggested restaurants, and it was as good as the receptionist had said. Everything in the room was in good shape, and the beds were very comfortable. After a good nights sleep we went to the breakfast room and ate our share of eggs, sausage, bread, coffee and orange juice. This is not a continental breakfast, but a very good selection of restaurant quality food items. This saved our group of four around 40 dollars and made it possible to travel a good 4 or 5 hours before getting hungry enough for another meal. Terrific!!!!!
But overall it was quiet all night and we slept well.
The hotel was easy to find, right off the highway and the outside was well keep, clean, and had ample parking. Both receptionists at the front desk were super nice and informative, very welcoming. Our room was large and everything was clean, it did not look run down or dated, I mean it's not a 5 star but I was pleased. The room had a fridge, microwave, coffee pot, tv, iron, powerful blow dryer, desk, separate nice sitting chair. The breakfast buffet was good to have, the normal for hotel like this except no fruit besides bruised bananas. Eggs were not like real eggs, biscuits and plain gravy, potatoes, food was mediocre. I did not try the waffle station. There was cereal, plain bagels, and bread, but the muffins were really good and they had yogurt. If they are going to charge $200 a night on busy college weekends they should upgrade the food for those prices!
The hotel had a very warm feel, in the atmosphere. The staff was very pleasant. Room was clean and smelled really good inside, water was very hot,and the bed was ohhh so comfy. I got the best sleep there. It was quiet, and they have an inside pool. The water was warm an everything and it was cold when we were there. Very affordable. And they serve continental breakfast, very neat and clean. To wash was only a dollar. If your out that way, go an stay.
The main negative here is the slamming doors. The room doors make an awful huge loud slam if you just let it go, so that's the first thing you hear in the morning as people leave their rooms, then during check out time, its obnoxious. And the stairwell was dirty and a bit smelly, it could have used a good vacuum, I stayed for two days and it wasn't cleaned.
