The rooms seem to be recently remodeled and they are really nice. Only complaint is that some of the electrical outlets do not work correctly due to being cracked. The location is good. Perfect for being a few minutes drive away from the events taking place, but just out if the way for a quiet stay. The service is good. Very friendly staff.
I've stayed in this La Quinta for years, and it never disappoints. It's an older property, but well kept. Staff are friendly and courteous, rooms are clean, good location, and coffee in the room.
The first room we got had a broken air-conditioning, so we were downgraded to a smaller room. The cleanliness is ok and the rooms are sort of updated...but not completely. The location is sketchy. I felt unsafe a few times at night while taking my dog out to do his business. Suspicious cars were coasting around the parking lot and seemed to tail me until I went inside. Continental breakfast wasn't great, even by continental breakfast standards. If I had to pass through Lubbock again, I'd probably pick a different location.
If you like stinky moldy rooms, this place is for you. This room has an ac that smells like pure mold. They really try to cover up the smell with random sprays though... never thought id smell a moldy seabreeze. The area is surrounded with shady people, hopefully my truck and its contents are still there in the morning. No cameras on the property at all. If youre in a tight spot, late at night.. youll be more comfortable/safe in your vehicle sleeping at a rest area. Do not recommend. Will not return.
First room had pee on the toilet, hair in the bathroom, hair and food in the bed . Changed rooms again hair in the bath room the toilet paper was unopened and placed on the dispenser. We have stayed a few times but not again. Clearly the housekeeping cant do the job correctly and it wont change. Noise from busy area. Front desk person is always nice.
