Quite nice facility in a good location. Check in was smooth enough. Room was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Ask for a room on the side away from I-27 for a quieter experience. Breakfast was typical, but the attendant wasn't very attentive and the coffee was ghastly. There's a Starbucks about 2-3 miles away. Indoor pool looked clean enough, but I had no occasion to use it. Overall a good experience for the traveler just passing through.
If 0 stars was an option, I would give it that. Checked in to this "Best Western", it seems a little outdated at first glance but we walk down to our room and we hear a dog barking really loudly next door. We enter the room (1st floor) and immediately there's a VERY strong chemical/pet smell, the room didn't look like the pictures online and the dog could still be heard through the walls. This room was probably one of the worst we've seen in years, so we decide to leave and find other accommodations. When I returned to the front desk 10-15 minutes after arriving and inform the guy at the front desk of the situation, he offered a different room but I politely declined. He then asked if we had used the room and said that I'd need to speak to a manager if I wanted a refund, but there is a "two night minimum" so it wasn't likely. I never saw anything about a 2 night minimum when I booked it, and I've never stayed somewhere that was as poorly represented as this place. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! We found a much nicer place for LESS in a better location.
Room and whirlpool tub were nice, but, being a member of AAA and giving them my card at check in they said we would get a discount. Not only did they not give us a discount we also had to get the cards re entered twice because they would not work. The breakfast the next morning left a lot to be desired. Not bad food, just the lack of. They seemed to be out of everything from juice to eggs. Strange since we went in about 30 minutes after it opened. Definitely will be contacting AAA.
We really enjoyed our stay at Best Western. This is a nice hotel and is pet friendly. The pet fee was reasonable and you get a continental breakfast. I did think it was strange that there was a sign that said, "No food or drink outside of breakfast area" when the rooms have frigs and microwaves (?). But overall, the staff was good, the room was clean, and the food filled the belly. It is a nice hotel chain that is pet friendly and that means a lot to us! THANKS BEST WESTERN!
We had a great stay at this hotel. They were very pet friendly. Although there wasn't a lot of grass, we were given a room near the grass that had a bag station for pets. Also, one employee gave our dog treats and water. As far as the hotel, it looks like it has been recently remodeled. Everything is very clean and modern. The pool and hot tub were great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable as well. The breakfast was probably the best we have had in a hotel in a while- there were ingredients for breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, cereal, toast, etc. We would highly recommend this hotel.
