I went to work while Colton watched him. I came home around 10:30pm. He was still bleeding, so Colton and I decided we needed to take him somewhere. After talking to Kody, and him telling me everything was "normal" on the phone, but that he would meet me at the clinic if I "thought it was necessary", we decided to go to the emergency clinic instead.
Doc Kody takes ER calls and will meet patients at the clinic. He doesn't send his patients an after hour Clinic that has no medical history of your fur baby. EXCELLENT CARE!
Since this surgery we've been to the emergency vet twice, Key Vet Clinic, and Animal Medical Center. Ra's on multiple antibiotics, steroids and pain pills to get rid of the infection. He just had another surgery to hopefully fix Kody's mess today. We've spent $750 since his first surgery done by Kody, not including the initial neutering bill.
Ra (my one year old pitbull) was neutered Friday August 4, 2017 by Kody Kothmann at Caprock Vetrinary Clinic. He was sedated at 8:30am and was supposed to be done with surgery by noon that day. However, an "emergency" came in, so his surgery was put off.
My wife took my dogs her for rabies shots.
If you care about your pet as another family member, and not just an animal (like this man does) DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS MAN! He has zero compassion for animals. Ra is our baby, and we don't want anyone else to have to see their baby go through this.
He was picked up at 3:00pm the same day. (in a cage full of blood, urine and vomit.) Colton (my boyfriend) brought him home COVERED in blood and surgical spray. I knew something wasn't right immediately.
The emergency vet clinic saw us around 12:00am, and said Ra had already developed an infection DUE TO HIS NEUTER earlier that day. The way she looked at the incision sight told us we had made the right decision coming in to the emergency clinic, rather than taking him back to the man who completely mutilated him. He got an antibiotic shot, steroid shot, and anti inflammatory shot, along with antibiotics and steroids to take at home.
My fiancé and I needed rabies vaccines for our cat and dog for our lease, they were able to make an appointment the same day and took great care of our animals. Everyone was very nice and we were in and out in ten minutes.
We have used Kody for 15 years. He has ALWAYS made time for us and has taken wonderful care of our animals. Both cats and dogs.
