The water pump they installed that is under warranty busted. They agreed it would just be the cost of labor to have it fixed. Thirty minutes later they called back saying it wasn't just the pump but also a "timing gasket" that would cost almost $500 to fix. It's amazing how Nick's replaced the water pump and a month later my radiator needs to be replaced by another garage since Nick's refused to fix it. Now their water pump busts and now the "timing gasket" needs to be replaced even though that piece should have been replaced when they replaced the water pump the first time. It's amazing how I have never had a problem with my truck until Nick's touched it. I will save my money for a mechanic I trust and ride a bike to work.
These guys are the best I've ever seen. They were supposed to close at 6pm but they fixed my car and waited for me until 7pm on the evening before Thanksgiving. They truely care about their customers. They also have excellent skills and charge pretty fair price. They earned all my future business in Lubbock.
These guys are great. I wouldn't use anyone else in town. I've taken all my vehicles here when I can't figure out/do the repair myself and they've done am excellent job each time. Nick's is one of the only places in town that doesn't charge a diagnostic fee and they always are up front with what needs to be done and what it will cost. I've rarely had a repair take longer then a day here. There's a reason there parking lot is always full of vehicles. These guys do a great job and take care of their customers!
Highly recommend Nick's Automotive! I am typically skeptical about shops, but this one was exactly as the reviews said. I had an issue with my truck, and received many opinions about the problem. I stopped at Nick's, and got a quick diagnostic. The gentleman was honest and gave me recommendations on how to fix my issue. Please stop by if you have any issues. You will not regret it.
DO NOT GET YOUR VEHICLE REPAIRED HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just spent over $300 to have a water pump repaired and now a month later my truck has lost all of the antifreeze. I called them and asked of they would look at it since they took everything apart to replace the pump. They said only the pump would be under warranty but it would cost more to fix. So instead of seeing if one of their employees didn't tighten a clamp or something small and easily fixed they are ready to start finding things to charge me for.

Best car repair shop! They even fixed what my car dealership didn't! I was stuck in Lubbock my car was running hot. The guys are very friendly & thorough. 2 other shops prior to nicks had gave me the run around! I'm 100% satisfied & prices were cheaper as well! I'll always go to them for car trouble even if I'm in Dallas! Thanks for making my journey home stress & worry free!
