We could not eat it at all, and left it in the restaurant.
When we cut into the cake and took a bit we realized it was not red velvet, the icing was not cream cheese icing, and it was VERY sour and DRY.
I do want to note that the woman at the bakery was very nice, and I would not consider writing this review if we were not truly dissapointed.
We ordered a cake for my sisters graduation and were very pleased with the way the cake was decorated. Unfortunatley, the cake was not at all what we ordered.
Ordered petit fours from Bakery Creations 2 weeks ago. Arrived to pick them up and they wouldn't open the door nor answer the phone. Would only recommend people NOT use them.
I first found this place when they were located on 82nd St. They did our wedding cake back in 2007, and I was very pleased with the outcome! Since then, I have used them to do our kids' birthday cakes. She does an EXCELLENT job decorating them and is so reasonably priced! You get to customize what you want, and it's not outrageous like some other places in Lubbock. It's also not a one-size-fits all cake kit that you'd get from the grocery store. If you're wanting something really cool looking and affordable, go here!
I would not recommend using this bakery for any reason, despite the reasonable pricing.
I was very unsatisfied with the results of my son's cupcakes for his birthday party. I went in showed her what I wanted she said she could do it so she asked me to email the picture to her and I did just that with what all I wanted. I live an hour away so the day I go and pick it up all I get is solid colors of icing on the cupcakes NOTHING like the picture for that I could of done it myself. I had to have my other sister go back like 4 hours later to pick it up and even at that when we got it the cupcakes were dry they couldn't even scrap the other icing off so there was like 2-3 inches of icing on the cupcakes so I strongly DO NOT recommend anyone wasting there money and going to bakery creations.
We wanted a Red Velvet cake with cream cheese filling and frosting. When we arrived at the Bakery we were informed that they elected not to put the filling in the cake because they "thought it might have been too sweet."
We were very unsatisfied with the anniversary cake that they made for my parents. For one they were told that the cake was going to be picked up @ 11 on saturday, they called to tell me that the cake wasn't ready cause they had to buy some ribbon for it. They said it was going to be ready about 12 and since i live an hour away that gave them the time to finish it. When i get there they were still not done with it, she didn't finish it about 12:45 and to top it all of she was charging me more for the ribbon when they we're suppose to make like the picture we gave them. When we cut the cake it started to crumble and it was very dry. We had some guest complain about it. I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO ORDER ANY KIND OF CAKES FROM THEM AND ALSO THEY HAVE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. YOU DON'T HANG UP THE PHONE ON YOUR CUSTOMERS WHEN THEY'RE LETTING YOU KNOW WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE CAKE. AND THE REASON WHY WE GOT THEM WAS BECAUSE THE REVIEW WE READ, NOTHING BUT A LIE.
