I had nearly an hour conversation with one of the staff the first time I called - I called back less than 2 hours later, and they had no idea what I was talking about, though it was the same person, and several questions I asked the first time I received different answers to this time.
The patient was in the hospital for 1 week. The doctor assigned to the patient with this facility was NOT on the records at the hospital where the patient was treated, and is only in the office one day a week. The patient was in the hospital from a Friday to a Friday, this particular doctor is only in towards the end of the week. They were unable to tell me when the doctor saw the patient, and every other time I called they told me the doctor hadn't actually seen the patient, but his follow up was scheduled with [the doctor - they refer to this doctor as a "he" every other phone conversation and a "she" on the others... and I cannot find this particular doctor associated with this facility... so EVEN MORE REASON I WILL NOT USE THESE PEOPLE].
Typically when getting return to work paperwork and releases a nurse at the facility can do this as long as there are no issues the patient has been told several times he is cleared, but THEY WILL NOT SEND THE PAPERWORK. They cannot give me a reason as to why they will not - other than the doctor, who HAS NOT BEEN IN THE OFFICE NOR SAW HIM IN THE HOSPITAL, has reviewed his information. I do not understand why, since he did not actually see this doctor, that he cannot request another doctor that can review his information in a timely manner.
WILL NOT EVER USE THIS FACILITY.
This place is HORRIBLE!!!! DONT GO HERE!!! every time you call they always put you on hold for A LONG PERIOD OF TIME!!! I was put on hold for longer than an hour and in just needing to talk to someone cause yesterday my 5yr son got seen and they gave the wrong prescription and I told them that he has having a hard time seeing the letters close to him the lady in the front explained to me they won't see anyone for about two weeks and I explained that cause his condition they he has he can't wait due to the disease he has can have his lens searched if he's not wearing the right glasses and she just basically told me he had to deal with it.....Really?? This people dont care what so ever they just wanna get there pay check and that's it !! In going to another eye doctor!!
I deal with these type of situations enough to know something is terribly wrong with this facility, and I will let everyone I know, personally and professionally, to steer clear from Texas Tech Health Facilities.
They also will not allow me to speak with the nurse to find out what exactly is the issue, and clearly the office staff does not know.
