Yes, again, this review is probably too long as well as including many details some may feel are inappropriate. I do not mean to offend or bore anyone. I chose to do this again so maybe I can help save another family from going through what he had to in order to find help; as well as, expressing my deepest gratitude to Dr. Gage and the volunteers in his clinic. You all, very literally, saved my daughter's life. Thank you for helping remind my family of what Christianity is all about and being a true testament of God.
I have been going to Dr. Gage for 3 years. I'm so impressed with the amount of time he spends with patients. He's extremely knowledgeable about all of my health issues, and I feel very relaxed and calm after talking to him about my worries and concerns. He ends our visit always with a prayer. Thanks Dr. Gage

Sadly, the clinic does not handle OBGYN cases, however Dr. Gage and the sweet ladies that work with him, sat with us, listened with patience, concern and understanding. With limited abilities to perform needed procedures due to the type of issues we were having, Dr. Gage called around to find a clinic that would do blood work on her with no insurance, no appt. on a Friday. Saturday morning, Dr. Gage called me at 9:00AM to inform me that I needed to get my daughter the ER immediately due to her hemoglobin being critically low. Upon arrival since Dr. Gage referred me, they did not charge me anything right then, like they did when I tried taking her before, and took her right back. Dr. Gage spoke with the ER over the phone to inform her of the results he received from her blood test, which saved us so much time and money. She was immediately admitted and given two blood transfusions. The hospital doctors informed me that had we waited one more week and I had not been giving her iron supplements she probably would not be here with us today. Upon her hospital release we were told by the doctor that was assigned to her at the hospital and I quote "another Dr. will be contacting you in the next few days to schedule a checkup appt. I do not see patients without insurance, and my prices are high enough to where you cannot afford them. If you ever get insurance call our office and we may see her then". (This Doctor personally did not come into our room until her release, so he could inform us of the above statement. He sent Texas Tech med students to come collect all her information and to perform procedures during our stay.)
Dr. Gage is involved with a program where he volunteers his time during his lunch hour to see sick children who are in the same situation as we are. My daughter, now 13, started her "womanly time" at age 11. That time, continued for a 13 consecutive months. My daughter did not tell anyone of this for 11 months, for reasons that are common in young girls, I guess. I noticed changes within her (pale, fatigue, blacking-out, confusion, headaches) that I mentioned to her was not normal, that is when she informed me of the above. (Sorry TMI for some, however, I am publicly putting this information out there incase there is another Mother/daughter having similar issues. Please know that there is help.) I immediately started calling doctors and clinics. I either received "we do not accept patients without insurance or their fee for self-pay patience were outrageous, and it would take me time that I felt in my heart we did not have. With many failed attempts finding help for her, God answered our prayers and someone took her situation seriously and helped me find Dr. Gage's volunteer clinic.
Dr. Gage is the best doctor by far that I've ever met. He is compassionate and caring and genuine cares about what you're going through. I would highly recommend him to anybody in the world. I will never leave dr gage ever. Thank you so much for all that you do doctor Gage! The world needs more of you!
Dr. Gage is a true blessing. Unfortunately, we are labeled as "middle class Americans" in the category that we do not qualify for subsidies on health insurance and we cannot afford the horrific monthly premiums for a household of four, let alone meeting the unrealistic deductibles.
He has been out family doctor for over 20 years. He is very knowledgeable and understanding. His nurses are all very personable. My grandmother was injured very recently and it was worse than we all thought. Dr. Gage had his people immediately set up an emergency transfer to an injury clinic. It was the smoothest transition and very possibly saved my 89 year old grandmother. God bless them.
