This is one of my favorite places to go shop in Lubbock. They're super friendly and are pretty knowledgeable about the products they have in shop. If you live in Lubbock and are planning a ski trip, this is easily the best place to go.
Great staff and great selection, especially for a Texas ski and snowboard shop. They've got everything you could possibly need from beginner to advanced. Keep in mind, the skis they carry are geared towards the conditions commonly found in New Mexico so don't expect any fat powder skis or ski boots that are higher than 100 flex, but they have access to an awesome online catalog as well, which includes the full range of skis from companies like Nordica, K2, Salomon (for skiers) and Burton and Never Summer (for snowboarders) where you can find any sis or snowboards that you could need.

Also, if you need rentals, Troy's is very reasonable with pricing and keeps the rental fleet in better shape than most mountain shops. He includes travel days in the price so you're not paying for the days you're driving up to and away from the mountain. Troy's is all about it's customers and never goes for the hard sale. Definitely the place I try to go when I need ski gear and tune ups.
They guy at Troy's are very helpful and personable. They repaired my son's snowboard for a very reasonable price. I am so happy with the service they provided. I will not go anywhere else! And sold us lift tickets for much cheaper than the mountain its self. Thank you to the guys at Troy's.
