The wait time was normal. While not very complex, Boba tea is a crafted drink and takes time to make. . .
I've been here several times and they were all good experiences but today's not the case. Yogurt smoothie tasted like frozen milk & blended with ice, very plain, old boba that was translucent, and long wait.
I am happy that there are multiple Boba Tea Shops in Lubbock. The arrival of a Boba Tea shop in this city is a symbol of growth and diversity for Lubbock. Some like growth in the city, others do not.

Since moving here from a bigger city with many Boba Tea places, I have pinned down every place in Lubbock to get Boba. I have followed West Straw'S Boba Tea, Smoothies from the time they installed their sign.
Delicious & authentic boba tea, real fruit/yogurt smoothies and other beverages in a convenient location in the medical district.
Hip & cozy light fixtures that change colors give this spot some ambiance.
I eat some meat, my wife does not eat meat.
I am not an employee or an advocate for any particular shop in town, just a customer who really loves Boba.
Ordered a milk tea and got the wrong milk tea but it was REALLY good so I wasn't mad. the bathroom is poor quality with no mirror but everything else is great.
Visited about 2 weeks ago.
The employees are learning to refine their Boba tea skills, but the drinks we had tasted great!
West Straw'S Boba is awesome. Nice atmosphere inside. I spoke with the manager in my first visit with my wife. She was very kind and receptive to the customer. Any Boba shop in town makes me happy, but what I like about this Boba tea shop is that they also offer light snacks made to order. The manager is flexible and mentioned future plans for adding more snacks to the menu to meet the dietary needs of the vegetarian.
Amazing boba tea, finally! Lubbock was in dire need of a decent boba tea location. Fresh tapioca :)
