When I signed up for Planet Beach I was told it was a month to month contract and if I wanted to cancel it at any time to just call. I have been in multiple times to cancel my membership and I have been told each time that I had to be there when a manager was there. Every time I went back there was no manager there. I finally disputed the transaction with my bank only to be informed now that I signed a 2 year contract. Also, that if I want to cancel it, I have to submit a cancellation letter. At no time was this ever mentioned to me. I have never once used this membership and now I can't seem to get out of it. Make sure you read the fine print before you sign anything.
It is a cute little place, and I loved the hotworx that they had but it's not really a contender compared to other tanning salons. I've seen management treat the workers very poorly. I scheduled over the phone to tan, and everything seemed fine, and then when I got there, they proceeded to tell me my month was up. They should've told me this on the phone. I was only able to use half of my month that I paid 70 dollars for, because I got sick, and one of the workers who doesn't work there anymore set me up a system where I would have 15 sessions, and then after that it would've been over. They proceeded to tell me "well she doesn't work here anymore, so we can't do what she said". Don't waste your money here, there are nicer places for the same amount of money.
Great place to tan, relax and pamper yourself. Helpful and friendly staff.
