Keep the people that care about the customers and toss the rest!!!
Good food, horrible service and management. My boyfriend and I went on a Friday night wanting to try something different. We walked in and were told to sit ourselves. The restaurant was half empty and we now know why. It took over twenty minutes to get a menu and a drink. Finally, after an hour and a half we received our food. My meal came with beans and rice, but I was charged for the sides? Not only that, but I didn't receive the sides until after I finished my meal. Our waitress definitely had been drinking and was the only one waiting tables. Was not even worth waiting another 20 minutes trying to get the charge removed. No way this place is worth a second chance or positive recommendation.
Never once waited for drinks, napkins or conversation. Wish we would've had that experience this visit!
WAS EMPLOYED AS KITCHEN MNGR. I came in as a normal guest wood to experience what are guess go through Not only was it 5 minutes plus before I seen any employee not to mention didn't get greeted at this time but I also viewed a lady with a newborn puppy sitting on the bar being bottle-fed I am no longer employed there and I know why the business is so slow nobody that is employed there even has a food handlers card and it's because they don't understand nor do they care about the safety or the concepts of food safety when you don't understand something or take the time to understand it how can you make a great experience for a client? YOU CAN'T. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
The bartender/mgr. (I say mgr. lightly) was more worried about two guys at the end of the bar than refilling our drinks! I don't remember her name, because she never told us. I do remember the girl "Toni" from a couple of weeks ago, she was taking care of Bar customers and even the tables out on the floor.
Winner of KLBK’s 2017 Best of the West awards for Best burger and chicken fried steak, Tailgate Sports Bar & Grill is a friendly place with a happening bar scene and the added bonus of being smoke-free and family-friendly. We were pleased with the burger and their chicken fried chicken smothered in cream gravy was very good; real meat instead of the processed patties so common these days. The broccoli and carrots were perfectly cooked, still crisp in a garlic butter sauce. Unfortunately the baked potato was undercooked, so I would recommend going with the fries or possibly onion rings. Another observation was the beer selection was rather limited, with Budweiser and Miller products on tap. Our server was doubling as barkeep, but she was friendly and very attentive and the prices were reasonable.
We were greeted with a hand shake and a genuine smile from her!
Food options are a bit bland. Service wasn't all that great, and the beer selection is limited. It's an okay neighborhood bar to stop by if you're wanting a cheap drink and tvs to watch the game.
