I called corporate to file a complaint against the branch. It turns out no one in this chain of events was aware of the company policy or the US treasury rules. I was told at first it was up to the branches discretion. However, according to the supervisor from customer service it is in fact the policy of the US treasury to only permit certifying officers who can attest to the identity of an account holder. Basically, federal rules give the branches no such discretion...Not sure where they get these ideas, but I certainly would never trust this train wreck with my life savings. Corporate customer service has informed me they will be educating this rogue branch on policy. However, this review is towards this branch not the entity as a whole.
The tellers are very nice and professional, but boy is the wait ridiculous! I have to wait at least 30 minutes to see a teller even if I come at 8:30 in the morning! All I have to say is they need to hire more tellers to fill in all the extra spots and get people out of there faster.
To Google: This is a real review. I will sign and sweat affidavits to this experience under oath if need be on my honor as an eagle scout, veteran, and former law enforcement officer.
I was treated like I had Leaporsy after they found out I did not have an account with Bank of America. Tossed back and forth between two mindless employees.
Even with an appointment I'm still waiting 45 mins. Not cool
The branch staff as a whole came off as very arrogant and unpleasant throughout this experience. Lubbock is known for its friendly nature, however, this branch seems to have somehow hired the few people who aren't...
I have never been treated so badly by a business in my life.
Horrible. Always has been, always will be. Move your money people.
NOT ONCE DID THEY OFFER AN APOLOGY AND QUITE FRANKLY SEEMED HAPPY TO GET RID OF ME.
I went there to cash my wife's child support check. I was at a loss for words after I left. These people have NO BUSINESS SKILLS OR ANY ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS.
When I arrived at the door, the greeter told me they would not cash bonds for a non-account holder. I informed him a customer service agent had told me they in fact do. His instructions were to wait in line. I waited in line for awhile; when it was finally my turn to be seen, I was told the same thing by the bank teller. WHY WOULD YOU INSIST I WAIT IN LINE TO WASTE MY TIME AND SAY THE SAME THING? The bank teller at no point offered for me to speak to a supervisor or in anyway tried to resolve the issue. Eventually, she told me to open a checking account....seriously after this treatment you want me to do business with you?
On April 4, 2017, from approximately 2pm-3:45pm. I spoke with a customer service representative on the phone before arriving to make sure they cash savings bonds for non-account holders. I am a busy college student and veteran trying to finish school. I had a little bit of time between classes to visit this branch.
If I could give a ZERO I WOULD.
