Awesome. Bring snacks like carrots!! Thrse guys are everywhere, burrowing out of the park
Relaxing spot to go view the prairie dogs, unfortunately some of the locals view them as pests that should be exterminated due to the holes they make. Also sad that they are hand fed a lot and are given food that they shouldn't be eating.
Haven't been but I've heard it's a great place to be!!!!
It was cute, interesting, outside and free! You can't really ask for much else. My daughter had a great time observing and learning about them.
My wife and I like coming here to feed the prairie dogs. They like roots and plants, so we typically bring a bag of baby carrots. I've seen people throw them celery too and they seem to enjoy. Go on a sunny day mid morning, they typically will be out eating then. A great activity for younger kids. Also, don't bring your family dog, the prairie dogs don't like it.
